Then I can easily figure out exactly which version of each IWAD those checksums correlate to (I've already written a tool to do this, as preparation for writing this comment). To minimize the work required on your end (which I certainly want to do), it seems like the most logical process would be for you to collect the ideal IWAD collection in a folder on your own system and then just run sha1sum (or md5sum, etc.) against them and post the checksums. Would it be possible to create an "ideal IWAD list", based on the checksum information from these sites? I have at least some version of all the IWADs in question (there are multiple versions of almost all of them) but I'm not sure exactly which version of each IWAD is most desirable to create the best version of the output. I realize you've kind of already covered this territory, but I've read through the entire tree of comments here and I feel really uncertain about which files I should include for an "optimal" combination. ![]()

![]() ![]() You will note that the PWM values can only be linked to MI and MB values. With a bit more work you could lock them in more rigidly. This means they can be changed while the PLC is running, but as soon as you cycle power the values get reset to the "power-up value". You can provide a fall-back state by making them "power-up Values". * a dead backup battery (check the value of SB8) * fiddling from machine operators and service people. * power interruptuions and electrical noise can corrupt these values. Output modules convert control signals from the CPU into digital or analog values that can be used to control various output devices. The CPU evaluates the status of inputs, outputs, and other variables as it executes a stored program. The PLC input circuitry converts signals into logic signals that the CPU can use. Similarly, you may ask, what is a PLC input and output? Analog signal: Y-axis (amplitude) is continuous and X-axis (time) may be continuous or discrete. Unlike a continuous-time signal, a discrete-time signal is not a function of a continuous argument however, it may have been obtained by sampling from a continuous-time signal.Īlso, what is the difference between discrete and analog? ![]() ![]() The most influential factor will be your residency schedule. There is no right answer as to when to take the exam. Different programs may have more specific requirements, but sometime during intern year is the general rule. In general, Step 3 is taken during intern year of residency, so that license applications can be completed at the end of intern year and received during second year. The next thing to consider is what point during the year to take the exam. Go about this how you please and however is feasible in terms of scheduling with your residency program. Others scheduled the test on 2 spaced out days during the same week, or even 1 week apart. Many people want to knock the test out in 2 consecutive days and be done with it. You are free to schedule them as you please. One important thing to note about Step 3 is that the 2 days do not have to be completed back-to-back. Day 2 has 45 minutes of break time, as well as tutorial time which can be used as a break.Īfter the grueling 2-day affair, 16 hours in total, you will be done with the USMLE! You will be relieved of all Step exams and free to throw yourself into the clinical and research work of residency! And to just enjoy life. There will be 13 case simulations, each of which is allotted a maximum of 10 or 20 minutes. I will explain this format and the process of these simulations in more detail below. Next is a section of case simulations completed on the computer in a standardized format. This is divided into 6 blocks of 30 questions with 45 minutes to complete each. It is a 9 hour testing day, broken into 2 distinct test taking formats. On this day expect nothing different from prior Step examinations in the question style and pace.ĭay 2 is where the new component comes in. ![]() Day 1 is a bit shorter than the second day-I suppose they ease you into it. With the allotted break time of 50 minutes, this day amounts to about 7 hours of testing time. There will be 233 multiple-choice questions divided into 6 blocks of 38-40 questions each. It consists of all multiple-choice questions in the same style as prior Steps. I know-great, right? Here’s how it breaks down:ĭay 1 is much like Step 1 and Step 2 CK. So let me take this opportunity to break the exam down and give some basic advice. The other reason is that, much like Step 2 differs from Step 1 (with both CS and CK), Step 3 has some new components that will be less familiar. Though Step 3 is the least “high-stakes” exam of the 3, it at least deserves a portion of the same preparation and work. So why bother thinking much about Step 3? The main reason, I would say, is that all of those prior successes on Step examinations came from diligent and thoughtful preparation. You have started your residency and are focusing on becoming the best doctor you can be, as you should. At this point, you are an old pro at taking exams and have completed Steps 1 and 2 in appropriate fashion. ![]() I desperately wanted to use the in-car view that is close to the dashboard. I am assuming this is done to keep the frame rate solid. I haven’t seen this sort of thing since the first NASCAR game that was released for PS2. In both of the in-car views many of the textures become noticeably lower, especially on the track itself. There are plenty of views to choose from including third-person, two dash views, a hood view and a bumper view. Trackside detail is a little lacking but since your focus is generally on the track ahead it is a minor issue at best. Car damage is good and parts completely loosened from cars persist on the track. The cars themselves aren’t on par with Forza but don’t look bad by any means. There’s both good and bad in terms of how Inside Line presents itself visually. Online games offer a good amount of customization as well. Yellow flags can pop up a lot and hurt the flow of online races but I suspect this won’t be much of an issue since this game will likely attract the more passionate NASCAR fans. With support for up to 16 players online, multiplayer can be a real blast if you’ve got a room full of people prepared to play the game the right way. Casual players would be well served to watch some of the tutorial videos you can find online that outline techniques as bump drafting and such. This isn’t a criticism of the game as much as it is an observation. As I mentioned earlier, you might be turning left a lot but there is so much more going on when racing in close quarters where you will have your hands full. However, put me amongst the field and my inexperience with NASCAR shows. In fact, even in the early career races on medium difficulty I was able to easily put my car on pole and create insurmountable leads in just a 20 lap race. When racing on an open track or against just a few cars I’m just fine. That is where my biggest challenge came from in playing Inside Line. There is little room for error when racing in a pack. To be fast and safe in a pack you need to be precise but in a more gradual way than say than being an accurate shot in a shooter like Halo or Call of Duty. The controls are good though and I hit a good sweet spot between being responsive but not overly twitchy. In a game like this where you are doing 180+ MPH with multiple grooves through turns control is key even without the other cars in close proximity. Racing two and three wide in a pack of over forty other cars on tracks with banking’s of over 30 degrees presents an entirely unique challenge compared to other racing games. ![]() There’s so much more depth to the sport than that. This mode is certainly built for fans of the NASCAR history and offers a nice diversion from Career play.Ī lot of people think that NASCAR is nothing more than a bunch of left turns. You can race weekends with full practice and qualifying sessions or you can skip the parts you want for a quicker overall experience.įurther to the Career mode there is a Challenge mode where players can recreate notable moments in NASCAR history or race in head-to-head challenges against NASCAR drivers. All 23 tracks from the 2012 NASCAR season are in the game and I like the fact that you can dig as deep as you want. You begin your career as an up and coming driver and through races and seasons you build up credibility and sponsorship until you are number one. It is pretty typical sports game stuff in this mode. ![]() Hard core fans are likely to spend the bulk of their time in Career mode. ![]() It is a pretty standard set of choices compared to other yearly sports game releases but it is always nice to have a choice. You can jump into a race, play a single season, play just the Chase for the Sprint Cup (essentially NASCAR’s playoffs), various challenges including head-to-head races, time trials and the core career experience. Inside Line has the typical range of game modes you would expect from a sports game. While I did find the game challenging, NASCAR The Game: Inside Line is certainly a fun little racing experience. Over the past week, I had a chance to sit down with the latest NASCAR game to hit the Xbox 360. That’s not to say that I’m an expert at all of the techniques employed in NASCAR but I’m fan enough to appreciate what the sport has to offer. I love the character that many of the drivers bring to the series and I appreciate the nuances of running a not-so-stock car around a track at over 180 MPH. That said, I do follow the Sprint Cup series but I just don’t sit down to watch full races like I might do with Ind圜ar and F1. Despite being a racing fan, NASCAR is the series that I follow the least. ![]() ![]() ![]() In between getting married, doing press for GOT and Dark Phoenix, and supporting husband Joe Jonas’s comeback, Sansa Stark has been jotting down evidence, taking alibis, and all but wearing Detective Pikachu’s hat. And so the most difficult part of it was body confidence and that kind of thing. She also explains why she’s now more comfortable in her own skin than ever before, after a rather dark period: “A lot of it was to do with growing up in the public eye, going through puberty and all of a sudden I didn’t have time to go to my ballet classes and I didn’t have time to go to gymnastics classes - and I love pasta. She also talks about a wide variety of other topics, from her costar Maisie Williams (“She really is like a sister to me”) to the instant-classic “Battle of the Bastards” episode (“the amount of hard work that went into that was just insane”) to why she watches the show at her parents’ place but apart from her parents (“Watching a sex scene with your parents is just the worst thing - and when you both know that person, it’s just ten times worse”) to what it was like appearing on the big screen, in May’s X-Men: Apocalypse (I’d been playing this downtrodden character for so long that I was like, ‘What’s the polar-opposite of that?'”). And I think season six was the season that she really showed people what she could do and she utilized those skills.” “Yes, she was kind of blinded by this fairytale of King’s Landing and the capital and being queen - and, I mean, what 13-year-old isn’t or wouldn’t be?” She continues, “I was always like, ‘Okay, and then there’s gonna be a point where she finally uses everything - all of that knowledge that she’s soaked up - and uses it to her advantage. “From day one, I always saw her as a very strong, very clever girl,” Turner insists. ![]() ![]() To Turner’s delight, Sansa seized control of her narrative during Thrones‘ celebrated sixth season, evolving from what many saw as a pawn into a leader. Of the controversial rape scene, she acknowledges, “At the time of the shooting, it was a very awkward, intense experience.” However, she adds of viewers’ impassioned reaction to it, “I thought it was really good that we had a dialog going, whether people were complaining about the show or not… I think we did it in a tasteful way that isn’t overexposing anything or dumbing it down, dulling it down. “I can really separate myself from her,” she says. For a young actress, it easily could have become upsetting to have to play scenes of this nature, but not for Turner. Meanwhile, Sansa has been subjected to adversity and tragedy on an epic scale - (spoiler alert) father and aunt murdered, passed from one sadistic monster to another, slashed, raped and the list goes on. “I pretty much managed to maintain a normal adolescence, I thought, for a few years,” she says. I mean, people watched it, but it wasn’t the huge thing that is now, I suppose, until around the third or fourth season.” Being a part of a cultural phenomenon easily could have changed her for the worse, but being tutored on set and chaperoned by her mother for the first three years kept her grounded. I think it was only about the third season that it started to pick up its momentum. “None of us really knew at that point whether it was gonna be big or not,” she explains. Turner says Thrones didn’t change her life overnight. “I woke up and was like, ‘No!!!’ and just started crying. “My mom woke me up one morning and was like, ‘Good morning, Sansa,'” she recalls. And she still seems amazed that she became one of seven finalists and ultimately won the part. She shares how Thrones‘ nationwide casting search arrived at her school, and how her drama teacher “just threw in me with a bunch of my other friends and we all auditioned together” one lunch-break. Over the course of our conversation, Turner discusses how she discovered acting through classes that initially served as a form of daycare, but became her passion.
